what kind of damage do you have?

Mostly small stess cracks on the upper part, and some oxidation,it buffs out and looks good, but it does not stay that way for long.

A good cleaner wax applied to the hull, then a coat of good polish will get the
oxidation off and keep it off for around a year. I have a 30 yr. old Chris Craft
that I wax and polish every year and it looks like it is no older than 10 years
old. Keeping it out of the sun helps a bunch too.

As far as the stress cracks, that is not cheap. It will need to be grinded off and
reapplied. There is a boat yard in Lake Charles named Olmsted Shipyard that does
that type work. Looks brand new when finished, but it ain't cheap.
Stress cracks in gel coat are not an issue because the gelcoat is not structural.
But if you don't like the way it looks, it can be fixed. Most fiberglass shops charge
around $50/hour plus material.
