went this weekend and managed to scratch out a few fish, but was tough. dirty water and it looks like the salinity is dropping every day in cameron.

Same for me a week ago. May be awhile before salinity comes back. I've never fished Sabine but looks like a good alternative.

i went last friday, water was plenty salty in my opinion, we kept 13 trout(eleven 12.5-13 inches and two that were solid,2.5 and 3.5 lbs), 5 big croaker, 1 red, 1 Hamma flounder, and i broke off on something big which i assume was a bull red

we fished just out of the ship channel where we saw birds working but the bite was slow under them, eventually just drifted and eventually caught a decent bag.

i little storm swim bait caught the two biggest and a Vudu swim Mullet(very impressed with this bait)

Fished Friday and Saturday, probably limited on trout Friday and for sure limited on Saturday. Bite was better than it has been in the last few weeks in the area I was fishing. Good luck.
