A Simple Turkey Sandwich
Tuesday when I roasted that turkey breast I baked a loaf of homemade sandwich bread. Right before going into the oven. http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/...s/DSC09918.jpg Actually it wasn't finished baking until halfway through dinner that evening. I forgot to get a picture after it was baked. Last night I felt like having a turkey sandwich for dinner so since I had everything needed I made what I usually reserve for having the day and weekend after Thanksgiving Day. I buttered and pan toasted a couple of slices of the bread and made myself a simple little sandwich. I did add Swiss cheese which I usually don't do and then the turkey, dressing, gravy, black pepper, cranberry sauce and mayo. http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/...s/DSC09924.jpg Oh man! That sandwich was soooo...... good! http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/...s/DSC09927.jpg |
Man that looks great. That's Thanksgiving between two slices of heaven. At Thanksgicing I always smoke an extra turkey or two for sandwiches and my wifes turkey pot pie.

you like cranberries on your turkey sandwich? Run some muscadines thru your food mill and make jelly. You'll never want cranberries again!
