We going to big lake! Heard terrible reports on V.b..
Plus wind forecast is a little to high for me in v.b

Talked to a guy yesterday that caught about 20 specks , good luck if u going Lawerance, I'm headed to big lake.

Fishing for cash at work. Good luck yall and be safe. Shouldnt have to be said but respect someone else who is fishing and give them plenty of space. If they are fishing 8 birds, don't fish those 8 birds too.

Always 1 in the bunch. Respect is hard to get.

Were headed out Sunday. Taking my 4yr old and 7yr old. Hope to get them their first sand trout and speck

I am headed to the Cove, I am sure that if there are boats the fish will be there!

I have found that the smaller boats are the best ones to fish by. The larger, fancier boat owners usually dont know how to fish. They are usually rude if you get close to them also. The smaller ones are the locals that know where the fish are

You make it sound like fish are attracted to boats !!

Its public water, no such thing as too close

I find it easier to get close enough to jig the already caught fish right out of the cooler of the boats already on the hottest spots. No need to sneak up with the trolling motor. Just blaze right in, clean the spot out quickly and move to the next. I save a ton on bait.

LMAO!!!! There is some truth to this! Just get close enough to see what bait and color dey using. Bring popcorn for diverting tactics....leave bumpers on outside of your boat for protective close in maneuvers, and crank-up your stereo with rap music!




Gonna be a good time in da Bay!

Fished The Cove yesterday with 10 other boats. Water pretty but no fish. Went to The Hamock and water was dirty, again no fish, so went to Blue Pt. reef and nothing. Tried the north shore of the Cove (tried for reds) nothing. Tide was extremely high and did not move. A lot of empty trailers were at the landing but boats must have been some place else. Only saw 2 specks caught.

No throwbacks, made it home by 1100 with 10.

I will be loaded down with some dead shrimp, got in close to a guy one time and he was hauling them up with dead shrimp.
Time to hunt down some boat and Kayaks too, I will see how they do it. It is nice to get close enough to others to other fishermen and see if they share any tips.

I like to troll the cove. My favorite baits are Braid Marauders and Rapala Magnums at 7-9 kts

So that was you today.

Also had a guy with a gatortail that ran up to everyone he saw catch one fish.
