Need volunteers to help test a new venture.

I want to test out using my 44' night fishing boat as a "Mothership" for 6 kayak fishermen, as well as 6 wade fishermen, on day trips.

The kayak trip will be on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2017. You will arrive at the lodge around 5 pm on Friday, Jan. 5, and dinner will be provided. You can fish under lights on pier, as long as you want that night. The next morning, after breakfast, we will load up kayaks on the boat and head out to Calcasieu Lake for an 8 hr trip, to spots not normally accessible to kayaks because of distance. Lunch will be provided on the boat as well.

The wading trip will be on Saturday Jan. 20, 2017. Same as above, arrive at lodge around 5 pm on Friday Jan. 19., dinner provided, and night fishing available on pier. The next morning, after breakfast, we will load up and head out, for 8 hrs, to different wading spots on Calcasieu Lake.

If interested in helping us test this out, please PM me. All I ask is that you be willing to give us honest feedback on the trip, good or bad.

how much will you charge per angler?

Redneckyacker 12-14-2016 11:08 AM

I'm interested, I've always wanted to try spots I can't reach in my Kayak.

This trip is free. I just need feedback from experienced kayakers and wade fishermen. I apologize if this message shows up multiple times, I'm having computer issues.

I've also wanted to mothership my yak down there for a while now...one of the main reasons I normally stay in the northern portion of the estuary.

I just hope your not the captain of the ship.

Will you be able to get waders in shallow water with the barge or have to boat them from the mother ship.

I am interested in the mothership / kayak adventure. I am new to this Tapatalk so I am not certain if this is a private message to you. I am assuming it is. Please advise.

Sam, once you get up and running with the Kayak trips, you should reach out to the folks at Pack And Paddle in Lafayette. They could probably drive a ton of business your way.
