Sabine River 12/17/16
Made a trip saturday morning to try some new areas. Went south to hit some marsh areas 1st but that hard south wind and incoming tide had the water high. Fished it for about 3 hrs with 1 bite. So we decided to head back north of i10. Found the water to still be coming in up there. Weeded through a few small fish and missed ALOT of bites. Around 1ish the tide changed and the bites started. We caught about 40 fish the next couple hrs and mananged to put about a 12lb bag together. Great day on the river! Most fish were caught with a Texas rigged V & M Jbug flipped around the trees and even away from the banks on the drop offs. Did manage to catch one in Adams Bayou on a 6xd in about 8ft of water.
I can only upload one picture... the websites attachment manager is messed up! http://i68.tinypic.com/f9r1qr.jpg |
How was the water looking, color-wise?
