Boat trailer greasing

What brand grease does everyone run on the trailers? I bought a tube from mikes marine last year and hadnt put any yet. Everytime i pull up to the landing i feel my hubs and they are still cool. Im thinking of adding new grease to be safe . Was wondering if there is a grease just as good for a cheaper price cuz i paid near $30 a tube for that one from mikes marine. And how often does everyone else add new grease

I add grease to my bearing about every 5 trips... one to 2 pumps. It should depend if your back seal is leaking.... U want a high temp water proof grease..

I use the RED grease from O Reillys.... $5 ...

Hi Temp, for sure. Can be very important if you are trailering a ways.

i don't use my trailer but once or twice a year. my boat is in a sling behind my house. when i do use the trailer it's usually a long trip. i use any grease that i can get and pump em till it runs out around the caps. my rims are permanently coated with various greases. my trailer is 14 yrs old and has been to the keys, louisiana, and south texas many times. same hubs, same bearings. i have had to reweld the axles to the hubs and replace the springs. might just be good luck, but i think keeping the bearings smothered in any type grease is the trick.
