Fishing license

Who would rather see the wlf issue fishing license on the actual purchase date for one year instead of July 1st to June 30th?
Heading out Saturday morning to leeville and going to have to print three licenses for my family early Saturday morning, bad timing, if they would just go from the purchase date for one year [emoji35]

I'd rather purchase date also but I usually just buy mine online July 1 or close to it.

If you buy it in June it is good for a year no matter what the date . If you buy before June 1 then you need another for the following year....

Yea, I usually get mine right after the 1st of June just so I don't forget, then it's good till next July 1. I kinda like it the way it is.

La Lic.

If you pay state and local taxes in this state you should not have to purchase a license. This is a pet pev of mine.

Well, considering none of those state and local taxes that you pay go to fund LDWF...

Amen

Daily limits on fish should be changed to yearly limits. You can catch 5 drum a day but some days we dont catch that many and other days we can catch more. Should be able to catch 365 x 5 drum per year and do away with daily limits

Should we have to pay the state or federal government anything for a God given resource for feeding ourselves and families? I say nahh.

I mean, people already kill more than 6 deer or 6 ducks on a trip, and keep more fish than the limit, so what the hell does a license matter anyway?

started off as a good reminder. Then idk wat happened, lol. Anyway thx for reminder 2specksdown. I just went and picked mine up. I would like to purchase my license anytime I want and it be good for one year after that. Not sure wat the june to june is all about

lil bubba 06-30-2017 12:05 PM

Hmmm.....Wonder how it would be ? No wardens to worry bout so it's a slaughter...No management areas so everybody pay to hunt ....Man we could all get drunk boating without worrying about getting a dwi on the water like the old days......

A quick search will show the short fall of funding from license sales and where the money is coming from.

Uhhh. I must be the only one that pays to hunt on management areas. I wish i could go fishing without being infringed upon.

What taxes do you pay that go to LDWF?

According to LDWF data, hunter and fisherman numbers have gone up since 2011, so how is there a shortfall of funding?

Well I pay the out of state fee of about 93.00 in La. 63.00 in Tx. About a 120.00 in Ca. And 30.00 in my home state of Fl. And all I am happy to do that to support the wildlife forces so that when I go fishing it's always catching most of the time and we wouldn't have that without a few wardens and rules to protect for all. If you only fish once a year then buy a day pass. All have a safe and happy [emoji4] 4th!
