Affordable camps

Any area left that is affordable, like 75-100K for a regular guy to buy a nice camp??
I don't need Taj mahal but I would like a clean small place to fish and maybe duck hunt out of.

What do you guys see out there??

Hackberry

Hackberry area maybe or Airhart road, (Its the first road just south of calcasieu point. Both areas have canal access, not waterfront.

Depends on where you are looking to buy. I found a few last year that were for sale around Belle River/Pierre Part that were in that range.

flounder_smacker 01-10-2010 10:31 PM

with storms and insurance rates its almost better to buy a camper and rent a lot unless you have the cash. know a few guys who have camper spots at lake p, big lake, toledo bend and they just move their camper where they want to fish for the month.

Not a bad idea........
I am looking for inland trout and redfish
Need a place the family would enjoy too.

Hard to spend that kinda money if I am the only one that enjoys it.

so they need a new truck and a new motor on the haynie - W's boat is too slow...

LaAngler 01-10-2010 11:24 PM

waterfront camps = big $$$$

speck-chaser 01-10-2010 11:45 PM

campers can be moved when hurrricanes come too. If ever I got into the camp thing, thats what I would do, maybe build a little screened in area, then pull a camper up to it. so you could enjoy the evenings outside without all of the mosquitos.

adamsfence 01-10-2010 11:53 PM

good luck on finding a lot I have been trying for a year. I am just going to put my camper at an rv park 250 a month but I don't have to work when I go that is the bad thing about a camp

Dink 01-10-2010 11:58 PM

Not to mention pulling boat and camper........2 trucks? Lots of trips back and forth? My wife can barely drive forward, not to mention pulling a boat or camper. Add to that having to back it in?? Still something to than no about............tim

U don't bring the camper and boat each time.... Lmao!!
U get a spot for Ur camper and pay a lot fee . Some times u can leave Ur boat there too.
That's less money on fuel haulin da boat.
And less headaches all around!
Plus if u piss the wife off u go to Ur man camp and just fish!!!!

PUREBAY2200 01-11-2010 01:36 AM
