I have had a lift on my 500 honda for 5 years and use it almost every day of hunting season and go on big rides all year. Never had a problem except bearings went out one time but thats expected with 28inch tires. Yes did it myself only took about an hour to do.

hard on the axles. if you can afford it get some beefier axles

Bstealth.....

If that wasn't lime green, I'd drive that thing all hunting season! ;) :rotfl:

bought to slap some mudlite xl 27"...thinking I may rub a bit if I have weight on the back or front of the bike...

cmdrost 01-13-2010 11:17 AM

just try the tires first and go with normal load like you normally would. If the rub is bad, then do the lift.

You must be going hog hunting with Bruce....:p

My old bike had a lift kit on it and I did not have any problems. It will increase the angle of the cv joints and axle which is not the best for them. I was not a mud hog and I did not abuse my bike and I had no problems. If you are looking to go do some wild and crazy mud riding I would suggest upgrading to the Gorilla axle but they are about $300 a piece.

No muddin' here...hunting only

I would see if the tires rub first and if they do add you a 2 inch lift. You probably ride like I do. If I can go around the mudhole I do.

In my opinion Highlifter makes some excellent aftermarket parts for ATV's.

If you have a bike that is under warranty the lift kit will probably void your warranty. I just heard the guys talking about this Monday on the ATV World television show on the Outdoor Channel.
