Big Lake Report from 11/24-26

My apologies for the delay in posting this report. I really appreciate each of you who post on here, as I live 4 hours from Big Lake and only get down there about twice a year, and I fish from a kayak. So your reports of hot baits and patterns are extremely helpful. Anyway, on to my report. Three of us came down there right after Thanksgiving dinner, and fished from kayaks all day Friday and Saturday, and for 2 hours on Sunday, before heading back. We caught 170 specks, 5 reds, and 5 flounder. The biggest speck was a little over 3 lbs and the biggest red was 6 lbs. The flounder were all small. Most were caught on opening night tails, mostly under popping corks, but some on bottom. We were mostly fishing pretty far up in some bayous and not much on the main lake. Again, my apologies for the late report. I'm sure the fish have moved quite a bit since then with the fronts that have moved through.
