EARLY BIRDS GET THE WORMS- - - - OPPS - - I MEAN FISH

Last week it seemed that early morning bird action was the payoff for most all of our fishermen. Some boats had limits (60 trout) before the sun was barley up. Getting on a flock of working gulls at 6:30 could mean you were limited out by 7:15. Those are the days you remember for a long time. Good redfish and trout action continued over reefs most all day depending on tidal movements. Best baits were offering live shrimp and finger mullet under a popping cork.
