Bought a HP Lite at the boat show after several $7.50 beers and would have come home with more than one if they were serving Hard Liquor.
Love the feel of it so far and will try to get on the lake Friday to give it the field test.:grinpimp:

HP slam mag - best rod on the market for topwaters & corkies.

Have to order it online or over phone.

Nasty 01-19-2010 06:20 PM

expensive...

HP slam is out of my price range for sure. New question-- what is the best rod for $150 to $200? Look to use it for topwater and working plastics.

Yeah, them Loo's are way too pricey for something that I'm gonna beat and bang around the boat. Think I'm gonna go with some all stars.

Big Nasty......All I use is the HP lights.....and I have one ultra light ...this one is not listed you have to ask...... HP slam is a good rod but your right about the price....I use my HP light for top water and catch 200os works fine.......use my ultra light for plastic.......its all worth the money......

Just got a new one to go on a Core 50MG.........

I broke an All Star rod first day out. They didn't warranty it.
I broke a Shimano rod first cast, they gave me a new one, no questions.
Every other rod I bought is still working fine.

Adam that high dollar race is not worth running. There are other uses for that green back.:)

hp lite

How much flex does the hp lite have in it? If you know the classic All-star rod shrimptip... how does it compare to it?
