mallard whacken in opelousas
 

Hunting Thursday morning in the timber in Opelousas.Had eight green heads on the water by seven o clock.Best hunt of the year.They would circle and circle then come on down.We didn't even have to blow the calls they just wanted in.Gonna be back at the in the morning.Best part was watching my dog get them all he was seven for eight.Three of which were blind retrieves not bad for 7 months old.

Nice birds. Never did a timber hunt. I bet it is like shooting fish in a barrel when the are dropping down thru the trees!!!

nice greenies,was that the lil hole behind the racetrack you mentioned before the first split?

i think i know where that spot is, they also have deer around there

gotta love your dog doing what they do best

ya thats the hole i was talken about.Theres plenty of deer in the area as well.Cant wait for the morning.
