Chronarch ?

Was finally able to use my new Chronarch (Waterloo w/recoil) yesterday and I was not as impressed as I thought I would be.:shaking: I cannot tell much difference in casting distance versus my Curado's. It is lighter but about the same as far as smoothness. Is there a breakin period with these higher end reels, will it get better over time? Guess I was expecting it to be an earth shattering experience.:shaking:

Spooled with 12# big game, tired of throwing corkies and them not coming back.:pissed:

what chronarch is it? how many brakes were set?

my chronarch D isn't as smooth as my B model. some of the new shimano's aren't coming properly lubed from the factory

were you also disappointed in the waterloo? is it the hp slam model?

the hp lite uses a cheaper blank and is heavier.....

could be the brakes. Might just be the reel. Also the light rod you got really isn't a corky throwin rod. They say so on the Waterloo website. Its for the lighter baits. The HP slam is for the heavier baits.

100D7, turned the brakes all off and distance improved. Where should I lubricate the reel?
Like my Waterloo HP Lite compared to my Falcon,Castaway.
Could not afford to get the Slam Mag, would have taken atleast 6 more beers @ $8.00 each plus difference in price, COST PROHIBITIVE.:shaking:

1 Attachment(s)
the hp slam is a good bit lighter (weight not action) and better for plugs

check out the attachment, i had a new calcutta and seen a new core come without proper lube this month.

the chronarch really shines over the curado in longevity, give it time with proper care trust me.

The Chronarch 100D7 and the 200 Series Curados weigh exactly the same. Only the 300 Series Curado is heavier.
