hi guys
i have hit another milestone, i have shipped rods to 5 different countries thus far now today i close the deal on a rod going to the darndnest place, i talked to the person this morning at 9 am they told me i was 9 hrs behind them so they would call at 9 am this moring making it 5 pm there i believe so you ask where is the rod going well i cant pronounce it so here it is i copied it, it's about 6 lines long but this will give you an idea where it's going------ United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi --- now where in the world is this all i can say is they tell me that they fish and catch a lot of baracuda so it must be on the coast somewhere in camel land :*****::*****:any way i just thought you guys might think this would be a cool read, i would almost bet there is not to many rod builders that have people calling from wherever to order a custom spiralstix man you gotta love them spiral rods. :smokin: yea i guess imm a little pumped. any way thanks for your intreast. stix |

|
United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi, wow good for you man.
I dont think those guys are worried about shipping cost. :smokin: |
thats for sure, i have a guy in great britian that has ordered 6 spiral's to date and he is a airline pilot in england and the shipping for him was over $150 then he had to pay duty from the states as well, now i kinda like my rods but there just is no way i am going to pay what these people pay for no friggnn fishing rod, but he flat loves the spiral stix, he has caught some very nice pike on them but still he has a ton of money in those rods, same thing for the ones i built for a guy in east africa talk about freight and a pain to try to get the money into the states holly cow. it's very hard to get forigen currency into a local bank, i never had any idea how hard it was.

NO
they are are a copy cat operation :*****:there is only one billystix, and i would never put my work in a shop or store i tried that back about 9 years ago ,what a frigging disaster that was, part of what i do that i ehjoy is the personal contact with the customer, being able to talk with him or her and talking with that person getting that fisherman exicted about his stix and then being able to sit down and create something for him that noone else has or will ever have, i call it it personal service kinda like one on one you cant beat that it just carry's a ton of wealth when you have a personal relatonship with your customer no matter who they are or no matter how hard they are to please" i even like building for jordon " :rotfl: and the rods that you saw are all assembly line rods thats the only way you can have rods in a store is to have assembly line produced rods. stix |
Just ordered a 7' white blank with black and gold and a Saints fleur-de-lis for my wife's birthday. She is gonna love it. She is prolly a bigger Saints fan than Red Devil.
She cried when they won the division championship. |
