Chicot 2-20

Camped up in the North side of the lake and fished yesterday with not even a bite. Boats were running back and forth all day with only one boat out of all I spoke with having one fish. Water is still a little cold I guess.

Sorry to hear you didn't catch any fish.
Its hard to catch fish in that place. It looks like a beautiful place but catching fish in there is tough.

never had to much luck at chicot, every time i go it is full of duck weed.

that sounds like every trip i had there. that is why i started saltwater fishing because of there and indian creek. figured i could go about 30 mins further and actually catch fish instead of coming home skunked

thanks for the report, i been up there once and didn't catch much....

lot of hype about good bass in there but lot of pressure & finicky fish

There was really none in sight where we fished as it was there before. I am determined to catch something there...will fish there in April-May timeframe.

best time to go there is april and may. Best day I've ever had there was 17 fish with two people. Its just tough there.
