a buddy of mine that worked with me at one time lives right up the road from him in deweyville and said he has a life size model in his house. Would be interesting to see but like you I'm a nonbeliever myself. Way too many drunk coonasses with guns over here in Louisiana to not have one dead already.

BMTAngler 03-10-2010 09:49 PM

Yep, the thing is huge! When they interviewed him on the show they were standing in front of it.

Shawn Braquet 03-10-2010 09:53 PM

you ever talked to chester? me and my buddy im talking about went to the beaumont outdoor expo at ford arena last year and chester was there. After talking to him awhile, other than his long hair and hippy appearance, he came across as a real cool guy. He actually got on the phone with Ted Nugent in front of us and let my buddy (hardcore bowhunter and Nugent fan) talk to him for 15 minutes on the cell and is supposed to line up a meet and greet between Ted and my buddy this year. So I guess we will see

Ive talked to him once before, about two summers ago. He was down on Pleasure Island on the levee road seeing how the fishing was going, real nice guy. He is really into the Flounder Fishery around here, studying them and such. I think hey released a bunch of them a couple of years ago.

I was hoping to get him to come to one of our kayak fishing meetings here in Beaumont and speak, i heard he is a really great speaker and has a whole bunch of info around Sabine and LA parts. I need to make it out to that Expo next time, heard it was nice.

The expo was real nice and heard the same as far as his speaking. I do enjoy reading his articles in the paper when the guys at work bring them, even though some are kind of off the wall still well written articles most of the time.

Yeah, you ever look his band up? I forget there name but its pretty heavy.
I saw a clip from D.U. that he was in also, I dont know if he really has anything to do with the migration or conservation type thing though

Shawn Braquet 03-10-2010 10:18 PM

didnt know he had a band or anything to do with duck hunting otherwise im sure my wife would have had to pry me off that conversation, im hardcore duckhunter to the core

BMTAngler 03-10-2010 10:28 PM

Same here, I want to make it over to yalls part of the woods next year.

Shawn Braquet 03-10-2010 10:37 PM

well you buy the license and I'll take you on some hunts, check my albums this year wasn't bad but I enjoyed hunting with lab this year for his first time. He did way better than my trainer or I ever expected, as bad as that sounds.

BMTAngler 03-10-2010 10:53 PM

That last pic of your hunts was something like ours, 3 of us limited out on ducks before 8 and we wanted to cook some coots too hahaha!

Shawn Braquet 03-10-2010 10:58 PM

Shawn Braquet 03-10-2010 10:59 PM
