Update - Cattle farmer in St. Mary

Here is a update to the story that generated a few post about the cattle farmer in St. Mary Parish that was being investigated. If you watch the video, I think you will agree with me when I said this guy was a piece of donkey dung! If I have a bad year and can't afford the hay for my cattle, the sale barn is an easy way to fix the problem. Not sure what this guy was thinking, but I think he has some big problems on his hands now!

I have to agree...I think there was a little more than just bad weather as a driving force in his losses there! You're right Fin. If you can't afford to feed em, take to the sale. They make more money living, even when the market is down than they do when they're dead!

I agree i have cattle my self and i know it was a hard winter but i treat them like my kids. Don"t get me wrong it was not cheap to feed 45 head of cattle all winter but it was feed are sell them and i didn't want to sell.

yeah, I can understand if they got sick and died after the cold and you did everything to prevent it, winter is hard on cows, but that looked like neglect.
