90 hp suzuki 4 stroke

Trying to get ready to sell my sled. Since it has sat up fopr a year w/ fuel in the tank i am going to drain the fuel refill w/ fresh fuel and a can of stabil b4 running. Also want to install an inline fuel / water seperator.
How hard is it to install and will it void warrenty if i do it myself???

i'm not sure fresh fuel needs stabil, i could be wrong....

a 10 micron fuel filter kit is about 50 bucks from west marine or academy. just mount the bracket in the splashwell and connect the fuel hose.

the reason i'm running the stabil is because of the fuel and water that will stll be in the tank and fuel lines after i siphon it. Don't think it would hurt it?

West marine.......ugh......
fuel filter, 50 bucks
Bracket.....30 bucks
Screws......10 bucks
O ring. .....8 bucks

Why the hell dont they sell something complete???

My Garmin came as just the unit, had to buy transducar separate.
Marine radio......buy the radio, antenna, bracket for antenna, wire for antenna, and Mic, all separate! !!! Argh, I hate being nickle and dimed!!!!

I quit Stabil and switched to Seafoam;), add a can with your new gas since the injectors probably have varnished by now. Make sure you connect the bulb between the engine and filter (don't ask me why:shaking:). The only thing you will need with the seperator kit is 4 stainless screws and SS hose clamps. If mounting internally, make sure you can access after bolting to the boat (don't ask me why:shaking:).

Good Luck

yep my girl friend was asking me what i wanted for my bday last year. i told her a new garmin from west marine. told her exact product number and everything. she gets it for me and i unwrap it, no transducer! had to go back there and spend another $75 or $100 for that!:pissed:

Stabil is for before you set her up.
Seafoam will help clean her out after you gunk her up.
I would definitely siphon all of the gunk out and put in fresh gas and use Seafoam.
That stuff is great.
Stabil is not bad either, if you use it before lay up for the winter.
Or just use her year round and not worry.
