Dove Field Wanted
Any of you guys know of some farmers that would be interested in leasing out some fields for opening weekend of dove season?
Trying to get in touch with some farmers that would plant us some sunflower on the edges of some fields and leave them standing. Willing to pay in advance if they'll plant something. Need room for at least 10 hunters but could come up with more if the farmer needs a little more cash to make it worth his while. Been going to Lake Providence for the last 20 years, would like something not quite as far if possible... If anyone knows someone I'd appreciate you putting me in touch with them. Charlie |
I will call you tomorrow

I can give you some contacts, but these guys actually lease the land from the farmer, plant it, and maintain it. They charge per gun. They always have a crap load of birds and it is not expensive.

The guy's name is Mark Atwell. He usually gets booked up pretty earlier sooooo......
His number is 337-540-3601. |
Atwell is now doing more of a "membership" instead of the day hunts. He is only occasionally doing the day hunts, and they get filled up quick.

I hear he has a great set-up for shooting DOVES.... |
Depending on how the rice goes this year, I may be able to hook this up for no charge. All depends on the rice though.
