Stainless Steel Hooks

Why doesn't anyone make a jig head with stainless steel hooks?
Or how about a stainless treble hook? I know they are hard to sharpen and they can be brittle but someone should be able to come up with the right alloy. I would pay a little extra for some serious corrosion resistance. I normally loose my jig heads before corrosion becomes a problem but a stainless treble might be good.

I agree.....

I orderd a fat sack of jig heads from them a while back... I threw away all my other jig heads away... Someone asked me at the weirs if i had jig head.. I gave them the whole pack of old ones

They can, that's a no brainer but by making nonstainless a breakoff or nonretrievable hook will be more likely to break down and not kill the fish. Or at least that's what I've always been told. Always heard to buy hooks that will rust away

Good point Mr. Warren, nevermind.
