Inner Harbor Navigation Channel Project
Here is a link (video)to the project that were working on for the Corp of engineers. It's the largest project every taken on by the Corp. The closing of the MRGO is part of this project. Basically a flood wall & gates to protect N.O. from another storm surge. Were fabing all the batter piles some up to 36" x 155' 3/4" thickness (approx 24.5 tons each) & building the flood gates. The metal plate on the gates is 2" thick! This involves seabrook, MRGO, Hopedale & Delacrox marshes. The Science channel is doing a show on this project in the next couple weeks.
