Headknocker Cameron to Holly Beach

The sargassum was pretty bad, making it difficult to fish. The beach by the rocks was covered with the rotting stuff, the smell adding insult to injury. Didn't even unload my yak. They had, however, cleaned up most of the beach by the camps.

Decided to head east to the Cameron jetties. Sargassum was bad there too, but the water was not as muddy. Launched the yak and started heading south along the jetties, jigging with LSU plastic cocahoes. Actually hooked a croaker but I had a few other bites before the lightning/thunder began. The wind picked up and was blowing out of the North. Was loading my yak when it started raining.

I was hoping that I could do some night fishing with the Full Moon; but I had to be out of there by 10 pm and it was still raining and overcast when I left around 8 pm so I headed home.

Pictures are at Holly Beach.
