Interesting you mention that......took a ride earlier and the exhaust broke right before the muffler.......muffler back is sitting in the bed....it sounds freaking awesome now!! But, will it effect performance?

there are a lot of guys that run a strait 4" pipe on these trucks and it sounds good and they will run better with more flow but you need cold air intake and programmer to get full effect. The exhaust temp is somthing to monitor if you push the truck hard because you can burn the turbo up.

those trucks are a beast, I drove a mega cab 4x4 with 35" tires that had cold air, exhaust, and programmer that would roast all 4 tires when I was looking at putting a programmer on my 06 I had

I run an 05 2500 4x4 5.9! its got the 4 speed custom rebuilt at 100,000 flat out hard miles. 4 in. strait exhuast (just remove the muffler, and gut the cat)! superchips flashpaque tuner wich stays in performance mode, cold air intake, and the thing is an animal! Ive run 35in. MickeyThompsons for the last 120,000 miles, and I have a total of one million miles! NAH Im not gonna kid ya like W its got 150,000 miles and feels as good or better than the day I drove it home. Be reasonable with the tuners though its fun to play, but theirs not a stock tranny that can hold up to a chipped 5.9 turbo. they r like the littlt engine that could. That strait 6 is a freekin beast! gotta go to the deer stand now, check back later to see how many more miles u melted off! LOL

I had an 06, mine was junk but I just had a lemon. My father in law and a few buddies have them and they are rough with vehicles and haven't done anything but scheduled maint. I just had a Diablo Power Puck in mine and it was the biggest bang for the buck I could find. It had stock, 60 ,and 90 hp settings that could be changed with a toggle switch on the fly. Awesome trucks, tire smoking machine!!!
