If you have kids you are well aware that there are ups and downs. Its the ups that are totally awesome no matter how simple they are.
To the point now. Got home from work this evening, walked in the kitchen and our son is jamming on his ipod to Roy Orbison. How many 15 years olds know who Roy Orbison is much less like his music? I did inform him that jamming to Roy on his senior prom may decrease his chances of scoring. He'll bring his Percy Sledge and Conway Twitty cd's then.lol |

Ha!! Jimmy Hendrix, Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Jim Morrison and other throw backs are stroked on my sons guitar regularly in our home. He does put some mean licks on the chili peppers and eagles so unless his amp is too loud it is okay.

Our boy doesn't play but he loves some great music. Led Zep, CCR, Elton John and Gary Stuart. Along with the stuff you have previously listed. |

My children had started asking "Who is Roy Orbison?" and "What is 'Pretty Woman'?" Recognizing that I'd been remiss in my children's cultural education, I immediately surfed over to YouTube and put on the song as loud as my computer will go. My children were soon elatedly dancing around the room. It was the beginning of a jam session for sure! Great music is timeless. |
