Default Trolling motor

I dont mean to start a huge debate, but I was wondering what other people that fish alots opinion is . My 36 volt 101 minn-kota trolling motor is on the outs. It is 6 yers old and will cost about $250 to repair ribbon. I'm thinkin of just buying a new one. What is the pros and cons of the minn kotta vs the motor guide 36 volt and what u would do. The motor has average use.
