Yeah you are right on the underpowered aspect. I believe that this is a marketing concept the mfg's and dealers are using to try and sell motor upgrades and increase margins. Every since the motor companies started buying the boat mfg's and packaging their units I have seen this happening. There is noway any 21-22 ft bayboat should have a 150 hanging on the back 2 or 4 stroke, it is the same as a full size truck with a v6.
