Went hunt/scout Friday morn..... Very few ducks in the GC south marsh. Killed 2 spoonie and 2 Greys; that's all that came in. Rode the whole lease, first time this year we could! Ducks were scattered all over...none near our blinds..will hunt the grass for the rest of season.

It's feast or famine down there! I figured we got around 6-7inches in GC. Chris they still have a bunch of greys on the front side in the broken smaller ponds. Teal vanished!
Good luck tomorrow...think I might try VB in the afternoon if winds stay calm.

Showed up to the blind to find a nice pond out there. Our hunting partner dropped about a dozen duck ducks out during the week and picked up a few. We managed 2 gw teal early and didnt fire a shot the rest of the day. Air was strange, calls echoed forever.

Just recieved a call from my hunting partner in GC. He hunted the north side pastures that recently flooded this morning. Plenty birds, no wind, very still conditions, however 2 hunters killed 6 greys 6 widgeons. Missed out a a flight of pins setting over the dekes....guns not loaded yet.
