Here is the problem I was having with mine and maybe it can help you.
When I would crank my motor everything ran great, it idled fine, got on plane good, and ran good at wide open throttle, and when i backed off the throttle it would alarm, go back down to an idle then shut off. Took it to the dealer and they told me that it was either the computer or a problem with the wiring as mentioned earlier.
They ended up changing the computer and it fixed my problem.
I never ran it enough before fixing it to see if my problem would have progressed as yours did, but the situations definately sound similar.
