pulling up boat carpet

Man, that is a pain in the hump to say the least. i did that a few times in my older boat. best way i found was to rip out as much as you can by hand and then use a grinder with a sanding wheel to remove the glue and left over carpet. the decks i had were aluminum and i re-carpeted the decks.
