If you can't weigh it but you know the legnth and girth you can do the legnth x's girth x's girth / 830, that will put you within a few pounds. 830 is the number for specs, not sure what the number is for reds. As the fish get bigger then number you divide by changes.
Say that fish had a 30" girth 46" x 30 = 1380 x 30" = 41400 divide 830 = 49#s, roughly
