I agree, WHY an English? English make great show dogs. I have trained a few English bred labs, for the most part they lack the drive of a well bred lab. By well bred, with good FC, AFC, NFC, NAFC, or similar ancestors. And before the flak starts,,,, I can take any Field Trial washout and make an excellent duck dog, can't take a great duck dog and pass a field trial.
