Yeah...we were fortunate...Sat up on a look out and watched Hilo Bay get sucked almost dry then fill back in. No waves....more like a flat surge. But that's good b/c any devastation wouldn't be good for an already struggle HI economy. But it was a neat experience. People were lined up on high grounds overlooking the bay area drinking beer and bbq'ing! I'll post some photos here in a second.
