May /June / july are all good.
I like late may /early june.
July and august can be brutal from the heat ,even when standing waist deep in the surf.

That's the great thing about the island.
There are motel rooms for 2 up to camps that sleep 30.
None of them are cheap in the summer.
When we get a little more planning on a grand isle trip i will make some calls and see what is available.
I have a friend to stay with ( real cheap).
But just remember that you CAN NOT wait untill a week or two b4 you want to fish to book rooms or camps in G.I. in the summer time.
There are only 3 or 4 marinas where you can leave the boat in the water and they book up fast.
