What's up on the Etecs anyhow...see a lot of people bashing them... but has anyone ever had one? I would run the suzuki behind it but just curious as to why not ETEC....personally i like the clip of how the ETEC sinks the overweighted and low torque yamaha. I'm not hating on Yamaha...they make some dam good motors and i'm a proud owner of one. Start this one at 3 min: ![]() Last edited by Big Kahunaz; 03-24-2010 at 10:43 PM. |

40 is fine for the 20 if you put a yammy 115 4 stroke . i got a 35 gal on my 20 ft w a 115 yammy i run my arse off with that beotch and still have fuel at the end of the day i think i get 4mpg maybe more w/ a 115 i would not get a bigger tank if you ge the 20 i will cause it to draft to much when i know im fishing suoer shallow i only roll out with 1/2 a tank or less . if you go with the 22 40 gal is not enough for a 200-225 motor u want 50-65 gal

Good point...not sure if i'd go w/ the 115 or the 140 zuk. I need something thats light for the purpose of fishing skinny water when bass'n on the lakes. |

I hear ya...just curious...don't know much about them....did use to run the old johnsons on my luminator back in the day and it lasted forever..also had no issues running up the hours on the evinrude ocean pro we used to have. Always had faith in their product. Just wondering what happened or is it just biased opinions. Like me...I'd never buy a Mercury motor or Dodge truck...i'd say, stay away from them...but some people swear by them. |

I looked at the Proline at the Houston Boat Show. I liked it in one way and in another way, I didn't. It needed more rear casting deck.
I had a Proline offshore center console for 14 years and it was a great boat. |

Was it the Pro Lite flats model? If so..did it look solid...wired properly? Just curious...I've got to wait for a couple more months and the anticipation is killing me. And i apologize to the site for putting an example of a boat w/ an E-Tec on it... Won't happen again :-P |

No, it was the exact same one you posted. But it didn't have a T-top on it and it wasn't colored.
There were also a few tripping hazards on the front deck. It was pretty plain, but I guess that is why it was so light. It is a very no frills boat. There wasn't a lot of storage on it either. |
