Crank it back up and it runs fine. Question is...... Did this hurt my motor???????
did you shut down your motor or do you have a sensored device that does it

I have a sensor device that slowed it down to idle speed and I had to idle over to the bank because the biggest ship I have ever seen was coming down the ship channel. But when I got out of its way I shut the motor off.

Shoudnt have hurt your motor at all. Thats what the alarms are for. They're set to go off before it gets to the point of damage.
