if u wanna catch some fish in these winds tom head south on hwy 27. go through hackberry like u headin to holly beach. about 10 miles or so south of hackberry there is a weir called the blue crab recreation. water has to be moving through the weir though. work both sides of weir and banks with a 3" pearl white gulp shrimp on a 1/4 oz jig head. and u should catch some flounder. about this same time last year, asterisk rich and i caught 18 flounder there one morning. and we have burned em on other trips also. i have also caught a few reds here and lots of crabs.

Brother I hate to tell you but your not going to catch nothing.....Winds will climb tonight and get stronger. Water will turn bad!! Get a bunch of beer and party

Friday: A 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 73. South wind around 20 -25mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph.

no off the bank. when its right its crazy. i will pull up with there being about 30 ppl out there fishin, crabbin, etc. and no one catchin jack except crabs! get out the truck and tie on a 3" gulp. and start moppin em up. the ppl out there start going crazy cause they been out there all day and hadn't caught a fish and here we are smoking em, but then again not one of them out there have a gulp or probably ever even heard of one. that gulp is really a "majic" bait for those flounder man. i never seen anything like it.
