Default Rod Breakage

In this months Texas Saltwater Fishing Magazine, the editor of Rod Maker Magazine,Tom Kirkman, provides an excellent article on rod failures.

I have posted on this subject many times. I highly recommend those who are about to purchase a high end rod (whether from me or any other custom rod builder) read this article. It is very informative.

As a rod builder, my greatest fear is to have a rod break on a big fish. (Knock on wood, it hasn't happened).

Like I have said before, with a little care, we can eliminate the fish stories about the one that got away.
