Default New Dog?

I am looking into possibly getting an English Bulldog. We already have a Miniature Schnauzer but want to increase the size of the family. I was wondering if anyone had any experiences with this breed and wanted to share. Also, if anyone knows of a reputable breeder that doesn't want an arm and a leg that would be great as well.

Huge upkeep. Weve had several and if ya plan on keepin him putside dont get one. Their wrinkles need to be wiped clean daily and lubed so they dont get rashes. Also they cannot take the humidity we have here. Just my two cents on bein a previous owner

I'm a vet and love the breed but try to discourage people from buying one. The initial expense (purchase) is very small compared to upkeep. Love the breed , just not cheap to own.

They are also notorious for heart conditions. Typically have a short life-span.

Thanks everyone for your input. I think the wife and I are leaning towards another miniature schnauzer. They are great little dogs and are lowest of low maintenance.

mine has had a healthy dose of discipline since it was a puppy. He doesn't bark unless someone drives up and even that is only once. They really are a wonderful breed, with the lack of shedding and how well behaved they are.

My son's ex-girlfriend had one that looked exactly like "UGA". They don't take the heat too well. Ever noticed "UGA" sittin' on a bag of ice in the middle of December? They're cool dogs but not for me...too high maintainence.

But I have three .....Very low maintenance

Boykin Spaniel, smartest dog I have ever owned. If fact you do not train them, you educate them.....
