BigGrin V-Bay 6-19

Decided to chase the reds for the Tibby Faulk tournament on Saturday. Didn't catch the "bull" we wanted but caught a nice mess. Did not catch one throw back. The two largest were 24", and everything else was 16-18. There seems to be plenty of bait, both shrimp and fish, for the trout to be in the bay soon. But, not quite yet.... So, my advise it to drop the trolling motor and beat the banks. The fish are there, you just have to work at it.

Here are a few pics from the trip. Plus, we had a VERY bold visitor while we were in Marsh Island. He came up to the boat and would not leave. This was one of the gators that are way too comfortable with people. Wish I had a tag on me....

Island mostly....Had a southwest/west wind so the pass side of the island was BAD rough and muddy....Also, most of the smaller bayous have booms across them...
