Default Henderson 7/3 with new Bass Fisherman

Fished Henderson this morning on the west end near the levee with a buddy who just got a kayak and learning to Bass fish. After a little coaching on working soft plastics he was on fire, caught near 30 fish. The bite was good early but died when the sun came out and heated up. He's the one in blue kayak, ex ULL quarterback who played after Jake graduated. Now I gotta take the wife out there and get her on some these fish.

The water looks great and it has fallen back to a good level for fishing.

I went out this mourning fished till 1pm. I launched at butte la rose, I caught 7 bass, biggest was 12 1/2inches and fat. Its hard to come by a keeper out there. I keep 10 sacalait and 2 bream threw the rest back. The bass that I caught were caught 30 yards out off of the points fishing the bottom, in about 15 feet of water.
