Question Rockafellows Speckled Trout

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone goes out of Rockafellow for specs. I haven't been there since before Katrina and I remember seeing some rigs offshore but we didn't have the boat to get them. Now we have the boat, so I was wondering if it was worth the trip down there to go and try them. The water is deeper and usually prettier than V. Bay and right now V. Bay ain't putting out. Let me know if you or someone you know goes out and has any luck. Thanks in advance

Default Rockerfeller

Went about 1 month ago. Not one speck. Hardheads and sharks. Had live bait. Water was so-so. In years past the spec fishing at the close in rigs @ the Rock is very hit or miss--mostly miss.

There are several rigs right out of freshwater city. I have caught a few there in the past, alot of white trout too. Glow double beetles work good out there.

I took the wife and kids out there sat. Only 2 reds. Did manage to put a limit of shrimp in the boat, only 2 doz. crabs. The boys had a blast catching about 200 2inch gaftop. That was fun to unhook.
