Here goes:

First most of our sayings and shorthands come from the days of the Telegraph when the standard was to keep the message sweet and simple, some of these abbreviations have made it into text messaging also.

FB is FINE BUSINESS (a greeting)
OM is Old Man, a reference men make to each other in the Communications world, a YL=Young Lady whereas a married woman is referred to as an XYL, hence EX YOUNG LADY.

Inhabit Leeville (Is around the area of Leeville, a small fishing village in the Southern Portion of Lafourche Parish best known for fishing and a toll bridge that goes to Fourchon)

QSO is a shorthand from telegraph days which means a contact, either over the radio or in person.

73 means Best wishes (If speaking to my XYL, I would have said 73 & 88s, which 88s means Love and kisses)
