90 miles out of Freshwater City 8-1-10

Sunday we went out with Andre B., Brett, Dad, and Seth. We ended up with 15 or so mangroves with plenty broke lines on rigs. Should of had 3 ling one pulled off, we got one, and my brother hooked one about 65lbs on his spec rod that we got a gaf into but when we flipped him into the boat he flopped up out the boat and ran straight for the rig popping his line of course. Awesome trip though! If anyone wants to go and catch mangrove and lemonfish they seem to be their pretty thick along with triggerfish. We could of caught 50 of them if we wanted to i'm sure. They'd hit every cast on our sparkle beetles.

We went last Friday and caught some mangroves, ling and one king mackrell but I can't upload pics. I caught my first ling put me in 3rd place on the star. It was only 29#. Btw nice report & catch Jeremy. Was it ruff out there?

i didn't even know star had a ling cat. I caught one 50lbs 2 weeks ago!! But no it wasn't rough at all

haha alright! I wish i'd known that you would of been invited for sure. We only had 4 guys and we went through 180 gallons of fuel just in boat

Your dad and them damn sparkle beetles!!!! He put it to you again??? I swear that man puts some weird juju on his baits..........He'll throw ontop of you all day and catch when you weren't..........

haha it was actually me who broke them out! The little AJ's and hardtails loved them too!
