didnt go either, had big plans for yesterday and today to fish the tourn. at v/b.,but my trolling motor crapped out on me yesterday before I left,so tried to get that fixed before the tourn. today, but couldnt. Finally decided to just drift and anchor to at least give it a shot for the tourn. today. Got everything ready last night, gased up,hooked up ready to go. Fixin to go to bed last night, then my a/c goes out. Had to pull out my hurricane window unit from the shed, and get that hooked up and see about getting somebody out today. Sooooo, I guess it just wasnt meant to be for me to fish today.

What part of the island are you guys going to be fishing? If my buddy isn't too hung over tomorrow morning, I'll be out towards Fourchon Beach.

Yep...I had to do the same a few years ago also. I have 2 hurricane window units now and they are worth their weight in gold when your a/c goes out.

yeah, it came in handy last night, one of the worst things about losing electricity during the hurricane is sleeping in the hot. I still didnt sleep that well though, I woke up at 5 am and thereafter every 30 minutes, and I would think of where I woulda been at that time. I had planned out some pretty good stratedgy according to the tides, but I will never know now. Oh well, Ill get em next time hopefully.lol

LOL...I had some solid ones on a she dog but after that we could not get away from the dinks(under 12"). The porpoises were everywhere too. I had a big blacktip take a trout, that was a pretty cool it was going nuts jumping out the water. Oh yeah, tim likes to play with seagulls....they bite hard too.
