Fished West side V-Bay this morning with a couple of Buddies from High School. Started out at Redfish Point with plastics early. Water looked really good with lots of bait but no fish. Went inside and caught some live bait and back out but still no good fish. Went out to the Pass and greeted by rough seas and very dirty water. Headed back in and fished all over the West side, Redfsih Point & Fearman with not much luck. At least we dodged the rain storms.

Friend of mine went to the pass and caught 20 reds and 3 flounder. He caught them on live cocahoes. I might give it a try with my dad if I feel up to it tomorrow. Thanks for the report.

Mallard,
What part of the Bay were ya'll fishing? I have made 3 trips recently without much luck. Most of the fishing has been on the West side Redfish point area. I catch a trout now and then but can't get on a steady bite. Water has looked good around redfish point each time I went. |
