Default Big Lake 8/14 - 8/15

About to embark on a night fishing trip with Speckdaddy, Fool, and a buddy from Houston. Hopefully we should get on em, but any trip with free entertainment from Speckdaddy is worth it!

Started way down south and only caught several "trophy" hardheads and gafftop so we ran pretty far north. Ended up finding a lot of fish on the north end but they just never wanted to turn on, which was frustrating because we watched them bust shrimp on the surface all the way until 5:00am. Had several dinks and tons of rat reds. Speckdaddy caught a nice 5lber...

that's an old trick we used, he'll stay with the school so that you can follow along and hammer them.

Someone told me about that with specs, to tie a balloon to one and let it go so it stays with the school. But I figured it was illegal so I never tried it. Has anyone ever tried it, and is it legal.

I'm gonna kill fool Think he took pictures of the episode when he wasn't taking one of his several naps. That was a good fish whatever it was. Thought for sure I was going to land it once the cork surface and I started "reelin" it in with the coke bottle but then it broke me off again in the motor. Worth a good laugh anyway!
