Default V-Bay, no good!

Fished West side V-Bay this morning with a couple of Buddies from High School. Started out at Redfish Point with plastics early. Water looked really good with lots of bait but no fish. Went inside and caught some live bait and back out but still no good fish. Went out to the Pass and greeted by rough seas and very dirty water. Headed back in and fished all over the West side, Redfsih Point & Fearman with not much luck. At least we dodged the rain storms.

Friend of mine went to the pass and caught 20 reds and 3 flounder. He caught them on live cocahoes. I might give it a try with my dad if I feel up to it tomorrow. Thanks for the report.

I also went to the bay yesterday. I got there before sunrise threw topwater at the cove. Fished a drift through my fav area with no bites, so i set up two more drifts still nothing. Water was pretty good with tons of bait popping. Went to the hammock fished it hard with no luck; except for trash fish. Saw a slick pop up in the middle of the hammock so i went check it out only to find tons of big croaker and gaftops. Went to dry reef picked up one red. Decided to run out the pass and like you said dirty water no fish except for white trout and not many of them. THen i went back inside hit the trash pile where there were zero boats. Then hit a spot in weeks bay where i stuck into a few reds but couldn't get them in for some reason, so we left. Fished pateintly the whole day even saw a fair share of shrimp everywhere i went, but no specs just tons and tons of ladyfish

Mallard,
What part of the Bay were ya'll fishing? I have made 3 trips recently without much luck. Most of the fishing has been on the West side Redfish point area. I catch a trout now and then but can't get on a steady bite. Water has looked good around redfish point each time I went.
