Default Big Lake 22 Aug 2010

In spite of the heat and wind and tide forecast, Sweetie (my Wife) and me made a trip. Water and wind was a bit too choppy for her on the south end so we ended up back in the ship channel south of Joe's cove. Hit a spot near some working bait and it was on. Ended up with two limits of reds, 4 specs and 3 small flatties. All reds caught on live shrimp. After double counting the reds, caught a few spec on a glow/chartreuse double shad rig tipped with a few last shrimp (just fooling around). Just throwing about 15' behind the boat - 3 specs on 4 casts. Ran out of shrimp and no more bite. Water was green, wind was nice all morning keeping things cool until about 9:30 and then it started howling. Got off the water around 10:30. The wife enjoyed it and we just finished the flounder along with blackened trout (using Butter flavored Pam at Ray's suggestion).

(Sorry for the rotation on the photos but can't figure out how to fix em).

Great catch! Where was the fish cleaning table picture taken? It looks a lot like Cal Pt but the floor is not covered. Did they pull up the floor mats?
